More expensive repair of Apple Watch smartwatches

The Apple company recently presented the long-awaited new iPhone 15 family of phones. All iPhone 15 models got a USB-C connector, which was forced by the new European legislation. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will use the older generation of USB 2.0, but the Pro versions will still get the third generation of the USB-C standard. Together with the newcomers, Apple presented the more advanced smart watches Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2.

Apple's Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches are cheaper compared to their predecessors. The Apple Watch Series 9 smart wristwatch is between 50 and 60 euros cheaper. The more advanced Apple Watch Ultra 2 smart watch is 100 euros cheaper. Unfortunately, Apple made their repairs more expensive.

The biggest price increase was the replacement of the battery. If the smart watch Apple Watch is not in the warranty period, we will have to pay 10 euros more to replace the battery. This means that instead of 99 euros, we will have to pay 109 euros to replace the battery. This price applies to smart wristwatches from Series 4 up to Ultra 2. Owners of Apple Watch Series 3 smart wristwatches were spared, as battery replacement for them costs "only" 89 euros.
