PlayStation 6 will be the most powerful console by far

The PlayStation 6 is expected to arrive on store shelves only in 2028. Despite the delay, the novelty will take the laurels of the most powerful console ever.
PlayStation 6 will be the most powerful console by far

The PlayStation 5 has been with us for a few years now, and unconfirmed information about its successor inevitably appears at every turn. The 6th generation of Sony's console is still quite a few years away, at least 3, if not more. Nevertheless, we have to wade through a maze of new information almost every other week, and most of it is useless and just wild rumours.

Adding fuel to the fire was well-known developer Hideo Kojima, who presented the studio's roadmap for the next few years, including a sequel to Death Stranding 2 and an unknown project called Physint, which the developer says will be an "action-spy game." next generation”. Since the game is still several years away from release, and since it will require more than what existing console hardware offers, there have been hints that the game will be released for the PlayStation 6.

Sony is expected to opt for AMD for chips and graphics cores. The most optimistic prediction is that the PS6 could play games at 4K (120 fps) or even 8K (30-60 fps). AMD also concluded an agreement to equip the refresh of the existing PlayStation 5 Pro console. Elsewhere, too, Sony should make much-needed improvements. The RAM is said to increase to 32GB (GDDR7) and use a 5th generation PCIe SSD, which means we could see speeds of up to 14,000MB/s. The initial configuration will likely be 1 TB, although we would prefer to see 2 TB.

Take all rumors with a grain of salt. A lot will change in the next 3-4 years, and until Sony publicly unveils a new console, we'll be in the dark about its capabilities.
