Record sales of the PlayStation 5 game console

In November 2020, game lovers saw the arrival of one of the most anticipated gaming consoles of all time. We are, of course, talking about the Sony PlayStation 5 console, which has been in huge demand since the very beginning of sales. Fans of console games were initially offered two versions, namely the classic PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, which does not have an optical drive. Recently, they were joined by an even thinner version of the novelty, which can be purchased in the USA.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the Sony company even recorded record sales of PlayStation 5 gaming consoles. together so far managed to sell moreč than 50 million units. Only between January and March this year, the computer giant managed to sell 6.3 million PlayStation 5 consoles. In the same period last year, Sony managed to sell only two million of the popular game consoles. With this, it exceeded the sales of PlayStation 4 consoles.

The demand for the PlayStation 5 game console could soon increase. It is expected to happen soonč saw the more powerful PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console. The novelty is supposed to be had as much as 2.5 times more capacity when shading content while playing computer games compared to the existing version.

The Sony company is preparing the PlayStation 5 Pro game console under the development label “Trinity”. According to the latest rumors, the novelty should be ready for sale for the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2024. The first examples should be ready for testing at the end of 2023. has been developing the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 Pro game console since the beginning of 2022.

The main asset of the new gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro will of course be the processor. Here, the AMD processor will be equipped with eight special Zen 2 processor cores and an RDNA 3 graphics card with as many as 30 active graphics cores and 16 gigabytes of GDDR5 graphics memory. The processor will certainly cope with even the most demanding tasks, as it should be able to reach an operating frequency of up to four gigahertz under full load. The processor of the standard PlayStation 5 console reaches the maximum #141; 3.5 gigahertz.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the graphics performance of the PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console is said to be comparable even to the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. This means that the graphics performance of the new product will be almost twice as much as the current gaming console PlayStation 5. It should be able to run console games in both 4K and 8K resolution with ray-tracing technology. Playing in the highest resolution will of course take place at lower graphics settings.
