Cheap foldable phone coming to the European market soon?
Samsung is currently the leader among folding and folding devices, but its position is getting weaker and weaker. Xiaomi, Google, Honor, Huawei and now the company Tecno... Almost all the biggest players have prepared their foldable candidates in the last year. For now, Samsung is dealing with the poor availability of competing phones, especially in Slovenia.
So, Techno is the latest company to come up with the Flip version of the foldable phone. It's called the Phantom V Flip, and at first glance, its trump cards are a high-resolution main camera, a unique external screen with a circular shape, fast charging, and an extremely low price.
It will be available in purple and black, and the phone will be wrapped in artificial leather with nicely rounded sides. Vegan or artificial leather is a surprising addition in the last Äas. We have already seen it on the phones Xiaomi 13T (Pro), Huawei Mate 50 Pro, vivo X90 Pro, and the experience during use is unique. It also prevents the formation of stains due to fingerprints, and at the same time it is more resistant to impacts (compared to glass).
The folding hinge can stay open at any angle between 30 and 150 degrees and closes to a thickness of just 14.95mm, so it should easily slide into even the tiniest of holes.
The 1.32-inch AMOLED external screen will undoubtedly attract the most views. It is designed for one-thumb operation and can be customized with wallpapers and widgets. weather, fitness features, sound recorder, stopwatch, timers and gallery. Tecno has surrounded it with a circular camera bump that houses two external photo sensors: a 64 MP main sensor and a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor. None of them have optical image stabilization, which will have a fair impact on the quality of the shots, especially in low light. There is also a 32 MP telephoto sensor for portraits and selfies. When you open the phone, a 6.9-inch foldable OLED screen with a resolution of 2640 pixels is revealed. 1080 pixels and an adjustable refresh rate of 10-120Hz with LTPO technology. Under it is a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It runs HiOS 13.5 based on Android 13.
The battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh supports charging with a power of 45 W, so it takes 15 minutes to charge up to 50 %, and a full charge takes 45 minutes.
Tecno says the phone will be available in international markets, including Europe. The approximate price is said to be around 700 euros, which is significantly less than all competitors.
