A while ago, Nvidia offered for sale a new family of graphics cards for fans of computer games “€“ GeForce RTX 4000. The GeForce RTX 4090 is perfect for the most demanding fans of computer games. The novelty is based on the Nvidia GA102 graphics core and has 16,128 CUDA cores available for data processing. 24 gigabytes of GDDR6X graphics memory with a bandwidth of 21 gigabits per second are available for storing intermediate calculations. The graphics core and memory are connected via a fast 384-bit bus.

But it seems that next-generation graphics cards will be much more powerful. Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards are said to be intended for between twice and 2.6 times more powerful compared to the graphics cards of the GeForce RTX 4000 family. The credit for this can be attributed mainly to the new production process. In addition, TSMC's 3-nanometer technology will be used in production. The newcomers are produced under the development or factory label Blackwell.

Nvidia will offer for sale as many as five different #141 graphics cards of the GeForce RTX 5000 family. The most powerful one will be equipped with the #141 graphics core GB202, while the rest will have cores GB203, GB205, GB206 and GB207. All newcomer models are also said to be equipped with the new fast GDDR7 graphics memory. This should process the data at a frequency higher than three gigahertz. For connecting to a personal computer, the new graphics cards will of course be equipped with a PCIe Gen 5 data bus. In addition, the most powerful models of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards will be equipped with a 512-bit data bus.

This means that graphics cards of the GeForce RTX 5000 family will also run 8K resolution graphic content without any major problems. The first graphics card equipped with a 512-bit data bus will be the GeForce RTX 5090. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the graphics cards of the GeForce RTX 5000 family will be available for free sale. In all likelihood, this will only happen in the course of next year.
