HBO found Abby before filming season 2 of The Last Of Us

HBO, which is preparing to shoot the second season of The Last of Us series, introduced us to the actress Kaitlyn Dever, who will play the character of Abby. We have already seen Kaitlyn in the series, which was based on the game of the same developer Naughty Dog, namely Uncharted. At the same time, she was also the first to be chosen by the people for the role of Ellie, otherwise Bella Ramsey was officially given the role.

The second season of the cult series will follow the events of the game The Last of Us 2, which everyone who played it surely remembers well. Although the second game was controversial for many and was partly accompanied by scandalous events, we believe that the series will be a great success. If we followed the first season of the series, we could be almost 100 % convinced that the writers will strictly stick to the script from the game and will not wander too much into the unknown.

As already mentioned, Kaitly Dever has a difficult task ahead of her, as she will have to play a character that is not the most popular with most players of the video game of the same name. How much this will actually affect her and the series remains to be seen. At the moment, most of the reactions to the selection of the actress are positive. Everything shows that the choice of Abby is good both characteristically and visually. 

Now the main question: When will the new season of the series be released? Unfortunately, we do not know the exact date yet, but most likely only in 2025.
