High refresh rate phones: do you really need them?
Android phones with screens with a high refresh rate have become commonplace.
Even some inexpensive phones, for example in the price range between 200 and 300 euros, today still offer a screen with a refresh rate of at least 90 Hz, in rare cases even 120 Hz. The best gaming phones are equipped with a screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, in the wild we also saw a 240 Hz phone. But what exactly is a screen refresh rate? And how does it benefit you in everyday use? Is a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz really that much better than one with a 90 Hz?
