Samsung has made in-house repairs possible for TVs
In the past, many manufacturers of smartphones and other electronic devices made it difficult to repair devices in-house. Repairs in licensed service centers are usually not cheap. Large amounts of glue, non-standard screws and complicated internal structure of the device often made it difficult to replace batteries, screens or other parts of the device. However, when the user replaced them, various error messages appeared on the screen, and certain functions simply stopped working.
At the end of 2022, there was an incredible turnaround. The company Apple is indeedÄ made a statement announcing the start of the self-service repair program. Right after that, the competitor company Samsung decided to make the same move. This, however, has recently made it possible to carry out in-house repairs in Europe as well. This program allows customers who feel they can do it to rent all the necessary tools and purchase original replacement parts to perform a DIY repair at home.
The Samsung Self Repair service was initially limited to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 smartphones and the Galaxy Book Pro 15.6 and Galaxy Book Pro 360 15.6 computers. Recently, however, the Samsung company announced that it has included a rich range of other consumer electronics devices in its in-house repair program. Among them we find screens from 2023, sound systems, TVs and even a Freestyle Gen 2 projector. In addition, there are also smartphones from the M family.
In other words, this means that by purchasing Samsung consumer electronics devices, we will have the opportunity to repair the devices in our own region, and original spare parts will be available at affordable prices. Of course, repair instructions will also be available. As a result, the costs of repairs will be much lower than with authorized service technicians.
