Samsung is betting big on the new Exynos 2400

The companies Samsung and AMD prepared a mobile graphics core of the new generation just over a year ago. The core labeled Xclipse 920 was expected to be built into the Samsung processor labeled Exynos 2200. The graphics core is based on the RDNA2 architecture and can cope with the most demanding graphics tasks without any problems.

Although the processors of the Exynos family are excellent, the Samsung company did not choose them when preparing the new smartphones of the Galaxy S23 family. All newcomers are meantč equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processors from Qualcomm, as this is still superior in terms of performance compared to the Exynos processors. Nevertheless, Samsung has not yet said the last word in the field of processors of the Exynos family.

Their engineers are namely The development of the interesting Exynos 2400 mobile processor has just begun. The novelty will be something special, as it will have as many as 10 physical 64-bit processor cores, manufactured using 4-nanometer technology, available for data processing. The most powerful processor core will be Cortex-X4 with a frequency of up to 3.1 gigahertz. Here we will find two more Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2.9 gigahertz, three Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of up to 2.6 gigahertz and four Cortex-A520 processor cores with a frequency of 1.8 gigahertz.

Samsung engineers will install the Xcplise 940 graphics core in the upcoming Exynos 2400 processor. This should be almost twice as powerful compared to the current Xclipse 920 graphics processor. The novelty should actually support video playback at a resolution of 8 K with a frequency of 60 images per second and capturing photos up to a total resolution of 320 million pixels. The connection will be handled by the Samsung Exynos 5300 modem. This will enable transfer speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second and upload speeds of 3.87 gigabits per second. This should satisfy even the most demanding users without any major problems.
