In practice, this means that the number of users decreased, as Windows 11 was used by 26.68 percent of users just one month later.

On the other hand, 70.03 percent of PC users still swear by the Windows 10 operating system. Compared to the previous month, its market share increased by almost one percentage point. This effectively means that the number of computers running Windows 10 has increased here due to the less popularity of the modern Windows 11 operating system.

Of course, this is not to Microsoft's liking, as it naturally wants to reduce the percentage of the Windows 10 operating system as soon as possible and to increase the number of users as much as possible. users “migrate” to Windows 11. This is what the company will actually try to achieve by forgoing major feature upgrades for Windows 10. The Windows 10 22H2 update was indeed the last major update of this operating system. This has been available to users since November 18 last year. Microsoft naturally encourages users to switch to the much more modern Windows 11 Moment 5.

Windows 10 will be supported until October 14, 2025. Of course, there will be "exceptions". This will be for individuals and companies that are willing to pay for additional support. This will be available for another two years, and right after that, Windows 10 should go on the hunt for more.
