Google to partner with startups using UI to improve healthcare

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology have the potential to evolve all aspects of the healthcare industry. From helping doctors detect diseases earlier to accelerating medical research, startups are still using AI to solve pressing health and wellness challenges. Our task is to participate in safe innovations and thus realize the long-term potential of health technology. To help founders responsibly build and improve health outcomes for billions of people around the world, we're launching the Google for Startups Growth Academy: Artificial Intelligence for Health Programs for companies based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This hybrid program is the first in a series of Google for Startups growth academies, whose central purpose is to facilitate and enable start-ups to innovate and solve social challenges with artificial intelligence. Similar to Growth Academy: Cyber Security, selected startups, from seed stage to Series A, will participate in a series of tailored workshops in close collaboration with Google and industry experts. For three months, they will be able to develop their companies, share good practices and promote the responsible development of artificial intelligence solutions in the health and wellness industry. After completing the program, startups will have access to long-term Google mentoring and support within the Google for Startups alumni network. Founders can perform moreč and apply by July 10. 

Growth Academy: AI for Health and Med-PaLM 2 are the latest acquisitions in Google's ongoing commitment to AI research for healthcare and promoting efficiency, equity, utility and safety. Google for Startups even more has been working with founders solving social challenges using technology for over 10 years, and it is crucial that we continue to work together to activate the benefits of human-oriented artificial intelligence in the field of healthcare and medicine.
