"Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Coming Soon"
Fans are more months impatiently waiting for more information about the continuation of the game since it was firstÄ launched in 2021, but other than a few rumors, marketing words from the developer, and some media hints (the new comic book and the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie), there haven't been many details.
The drought ended recently at the PlayStation Showcase event, which ended with a new story trailer and an in-depth look at the gameplay mechanics of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In this exciting installment, it was finally confirmed that Peter Parker did use the iconic black Symbiote suit, along with a more aggressive fighting style based on the Symbiote tentacles, and a darker nature to match his transformation and the overall tone of the story.
Fans also got more scenes of Miles Morales during a tense escape from KuÅ¡Äar (Lizard). Kraven The Hunter also appeared, heading to New York with his army in search of the biggest catch ever.
The new trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 revealed a lot about the upcoming adventure, but one thing still remains in the dark - the exact release date of the game. Shortly after the PlayStation Showcase aired, Insomniac took to Twitter to thank players for their positive reactions to the new gameplay footage.
The developer has promised fans that it will soon reveal more information, including Spider-Man 2 release date, pre-order bonuses and accessibility features. The release of Spider-Man 2 is currently announced sometime in the fall of 2023, which was once again confirmed at the end of yesterday's trailer.

A few months before that, actor Tony Todd, who will portray Venom, claimed that the game would be released in September after an extensive summer marketing campaign, but he later played down this sudden information. It's unclear when Insomniac plans to reveal new information about Spider-Man 2, but it could happen during Summer Game Fest next month, as parent company PlayStation has already been confirmed for that event.
However, Insomniac is assuring eager fans that they may no longer be long awaited to find out when Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will finally land (exclusively for now) on PlayStation 5.
