Xiaomi Redmi 13C: cheap but powerful

Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi 13C for the global market. This is actually the beginning of the release of new low-end Android phones. It's obvious that they decided to start right at the bottom of the price scale and slowly work their way up. The novelty is indeedč powerful enough even for slightly more demanding tasks.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C is not a huge upgrade over its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12C. However, there are some changes that could improve the user experience. Among the improvements, the new smartphone brings a better camera configuration, charging speed, connectivity and display.

Overall, the Redmi 13C is quite similar to the POCO C65. Like the C65 and Redmi 12C, the new Redmi phone is equipped with a 12nm Helio G85 processor. However, unlike the Poco C65, the Redmi 13C comes with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The Poco C65 is only available with 6GB and 8GB of RAM.

In terms of storage, the Redmi 13C is available with 128GB and 256GB of built-in eMMC 5.1 memory. Unfortunately, in this class, Redmi has not yet made the transition to the UFS standard, which would significantly speed up the phone's performance. This is the same storage configuration as the Poc C65, but better than the Redmi 12C. In addition, the Redmi 13C will have a 90-Hz display, which means a smooth visual experience - provided the processor manages to provide enough performance.

The Redmi 13C has a 50 MP main camera on the back. This sensor is accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor, which is a definite improvement over the 0.08MP depth sensor found in the 12C. On the front, the phone has an 8 MP selfie camera. In addition, the Redmi 13C has a USB-C port, similar to the Poco C65. By comparison, the 12C had an outdated #141 micro USB connector. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged at 18W in wireless mode, which is an improvement over the 10W charging capacity of the Redmi 12C.
