Mercedes-AMG is preparing the third version of CLA cars

Mercedes has woken up from its winter sleep and is still testing a new model of its AMG sports version. Most of the testing takes place in Sweden and although the new model is camouflaged, some facts are still known.

It is a CLA model and will be the first to be based on a special Mercedes structure that supports an electric architecture. The whole is designed for both models with an internal combustion engine and for models with an electric drive. The new models will also have improved brakes and a rear spoiler. So we can expect cars that will "keep us on the bends" better.

Standard CLA models will have the option of rear-wheel drive or all-four drive. In AMG models, the 4-wheel drive is said to produce 500 horsepower. The differences between the engines of the regular CLA and the AMG version will of course be obvious.

Mercedes promises a range of up to approximately 450 km for the model with one engine. We also learned that the new CLA will have the option of charging the car with a power of up to 250 kW. You will also be able to use it as a source of energy, because it has the possibility of two-way charging.

It is not known which models Mercedes will offer to customers. In addition to the new sedan, they are also planning the arrival of a crossover between the GLA and GLB. All models will have the same drive and battery architecture. We can expect the first serial versions of the #141 next year at the earliest.
