The long-awaited Android 15 put to the test

At the end of last year, Google prepared the final version of the Android 14 operating system. It brought many innovations to users of Pixel mobile devices. Although Android 14 is currently installed on only ten percent of mobile devices, Google announced the arrival of the first early version of the Android 15 operating system.

The novelties of the Android 15 mobile operating system are not immediately visible. Of course, this does not mean that they were not built in. Among them all, the HDR/SDR function stands out. This actually ensures that the user can change the brightness of notifications independently of the brightness of the screen. In addition, instant messaging windows may trigger vibration.

The new Android 15 also enables a real-time reduction in the volume of notifications, namely in the event that the user receives a large number of them at once. Among the more visible innovations, we should point out the slightly more attractive graphical interface. The functions are arranged somewhat more sensibly, which should further improve the usability of the new product.

An early trial version of the Android mobile operating system is still available for download. This is of course available for newer Google smartphones, namely the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Fortunately, it can also be installed on older Google Pixel mobile phones. Among them are the Pixel 6, 6a and 6 Pro models. Download links are provided below.
