Do you miss the legendary Game Boy?

You probably remember the legendary Game Boy portable console, which brought about a real boom in video games in the 1990s. The slightly more robust original model, which arrived in Europe in 1990, was then followed by the more convenient Game Boy Pocket, the colored Game Boy Color and finally the more modern Game Boy Advanced. In more for more than a decade, a huge number of games and a wide range of various accessories were released for them, and over 100 million copies were sold. In all probability, you would still find some in the attics of Slovenian homes today. There is still a lot of interest in retro games. Most of them use emulators, but manufacturers are also diligently developing consoles reminiscent of the golden retro days.

For all those who miss the legendary Game Boy, we have good news. The company Anbernic is indeedÄ announced that it has once again offered for sale the Anbernic RG405V portable gaming console. It resembles a Game Boy in shape and has a rich collection of retro games preloaded. In addition, it offers two more analog sticks for easier playing of more complex games.

Anbernic RG405V has a 10.2-centimeter or 4-inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4 to 3. The console is powered by two ARM Cortex A75 processor cores and six ARM Cortex A55 energy cores ( Unisoc Tiger T618), and the graphics content is accompanied by an ARM Mali G52 MP2 graphics core. They added another 4 GB of DDR4 system memory and 128 gigabytes of storage space. Considering the compactness of the console, it doesn't even sound that bad.

The portable console is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 5,500 milliampere hours. This provides game lovers with up to nine hours of autonomy. There are also slots for MicroSD memory cards and an HDMI output. The price is set at an estimated 120 euros, and together with a microSD memory card with a capacity of 256 gigabytes at an estimated 148 euros. There will also be a #141 version with a memory card of 128 gigabytes, for 135 euros.
