The Powkiddy RGB20SX portable console not only brings a retro feel, but also modern features that enhance the gaming experience. All this for just 81.89 euros.

Powkiddy took a big risk with the launch of the original RGB30 as a horizontal 1:1 aspect ratio handheld that worked very well with many retro games with this aspect ratio, especially games for Game Boy Color.

Powkidy also had some good feedback from fans of the RGB20S, it was an affordable vertical handheld that could emulate PS1 games and below, so like many handheld manufacturers, it in this area, I decided to combine both and create the new RGB20SX.

The Powkidy uses the same design as the RGB20S, but uses the 1:1 display from the RGB30 instead, creating a vertical handheld with the unique aspect ratio that Powkiddy enthusiasts have been asking for.

This news was leaked to the public back in February and certainly caused quite a stir, but now you can pre-order the Powkiddy RGB20SX from their website starting today.

Their official website states that it will be able to emulate most retro consoles, including Nintendo 64, Playstation 1 and Nintendo DS. This screen size makes the Nintendo DS a little more tolerable if you want to show both screens instead of switching between them, although the text will be very small, but it's still possible.
We can't deny that the build quality won't be the best, as users have reported to Powkiddy that they've always been looking for similar products, especially in terms of the quality of the plastic shell and the design of the shoulder buttons.

But despite that, according to them, it's fun to play, looks colorful, has a bright screen, and its user interface is basic enough that you can understand it without a manual. Powkiddy has priced this product at $89.99, which is quite expensive, especially considering what's out there. That's almost the same price as the Retroid Pocket 2S, which is a much better device for $10 more.
