Netflix's password-sharing ban brings record number of new subscribers
In many countries around the world, Netflix has introduced new rules on sharing access passwords, despite the reluctance of some users. If they want to share the password, they have to pay an additional 4.99 euros per month for each additional user. An additional user is an entity that does not live in the same household as the other users of the Netflix user account. Those who disobey can be fined.
Although the new rules have barely come into effect, Netflix has already indicated from the beginning that it will be strict and precise. It is intended for usersÄ started showing the guide for household registration. Thus, everyone is forced to confirm that the location where they opened Netflix is actually their household. With this, the user confirms or registers the home network, which will become his permanent location from then on. After registration, the new rules for the use of the Netflix account come into effect immediately.
It seems that the new rules brought the desired results to the company. The company Netflix is indeedÄ due to the ban on password sharing in the last quarter, gained more as 5.9 million new subscribers, or eight percent more of users. But this also exceeded by farÄ the most optimistic forecasts of experts. In addition, the Netflix company earned as much as three percent more on this account. than in the same period last year, or a calculated 1.35 billion euros. This is not surprising, since the growth of subscribers was much higher than the termination of low-rate orders. Therefore, many are convinced that Netflix will continue the practice of banning password sharing.
