Now you can use ChatGPT without an account

OpenAI cancels the mandatory account registration and thus opens ChatGPT for all users. Registration will still be necessary, for example, for DALLE-3, the use of which is still payable. "We are introducing this gradually with the aim of making artificial intelligence accessible to anyone who is interested in its capabilities,” OpenAI wrote in a blog post.

Since ChatGPT was firstč launched at the end of 2022, interested users had to log into an OpenAI account. The chatbot has proven extremely popular and ChatGPT has become one of the fastest growing services ever. The company then added paid subscriptions to access other products, such as the DALL-E 3 and more advanced models. Users will also still need an account to save and view chat history, chat sharing, and voice conversations.

OpenAI reports that more than 100 million people in 185 countries use ChatGPT weekly. Web traffic tracker SimilarWeb, however, announced that ChatGPT remains the most visited chatbot with an estimated 1.6 billion visitors in February, although Google's Gemini is also slowly gaining momentum. However, ChatGPT's traffic has slightly decreased compared to the highest values reached in May 2023, when the estimated number of visits exceeded 1.8 billion.

OpenAI adds that it has implemented "additional safeguards around content management," including blocking solicitations in a wider range of categories. So far, it is not yet clear what exactly these categories are. However, there will still be an option to opt out of model training - so ChatGPT users will be able to choose whether their activity can be used to train OpenAI models.

Meanwhile, other OpenAI products, such as the newly announced AI voice cloning service Voice Engine and video creation platform Sora, remain available only to a limited number of users and partners and are not part of the benefits of the bill. OpenAI.
