OpenAI opens a store of personalized UI bots
After a long wait, OpenaAI's GPT store is almost ready.
The GPT Store, i.e. a store where users can sell and share personalized and adapted UI agents to specific needs, which are of course based on OpenAI's large language models, will go live this week. All users who are registered in the GPT Builders program have received an electronic message with this notification. In the message, OpenAI also asks that users verify that their GPTs meet the company's visual rules and guidelines, and that all GPTs are public.
The company OpenAI is the firstÄ announced that it will enable the creation of artificial intelligence agents, called GPTs, using its GPT-4 large language model. Available only to ChatGPT Plus subscribers and businesses, this allows the creation of customized versions of ChatGPT-style chatbots, from those that explain Gen Z borders to those that guide people in negotiations. While custom-made GPTs created by OpenAI are available in the explore tab in ChatGPT Plus, the store would allow users to share and monetize their GPTs. OpenAI said it plans to find a way to pay GPT creators based on how much their AI agents are used in-store. So far, he has not published other details about the plan.
The store was initially supposed to start operating in November, but the "opening" had to be postponed, as OpenAI had a very busy month. We still remember, don't we? Among other things, CEO Sam Altman was fired and then rehired. The store's launch date was pushed back to December, then pushed back again.
