The new Microsoft Edge fixes a critical bug

Microsoft's Edge web browser still offers a number of useful features that provide an excellent user experience. That is why it is becoming more popular day by day. As a result, it also gains market share. Part of the credit for this also goes to a software bug that Microsoft programmers made in the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

The software error is indeedč enabled the transfer of personal settings from the Chrome web browser directly to the Edge browser every time we launched the latter. This means users have inadvertently defaulted to Edge instead of Chrome. Users could also set Edge as the default web browser by clicking too quickly on a pop-up that asked them to start using Edge instead of Chrome. Therefore, Microsoft programmers had no choice but to fix the error.

The mentioned software error was done by preparing the Edge web browser version 121.0.2277.128. We'll get the new Edge automatically when it's updated. If you don't want to wait, type the following command "edge://settings/help" in the address bar. In the upper part of the window, we will actually be able to check if we have the latest version of the Edge web browser installed.

It is also worth noting that the Edge web browser is based on the same web engine as the Chrome browser, namely Chromium. This means that many users do not even notice the difference when using them. However, the Edge web browser is much more focused on Microsoft products, including signing in with a Microsoft account and accessing Microsoft 365 online services.
