Cooler Master with a new gaming monitor

No one can claim that there aren't enough gaming monitors on the market. We have the experience that almost every month we get quite a few new alternatives. It's Cooler Master's turn for the month of October.

They introduced the GM2711S, an upcoming 27-inch 1440p gaming monitor. The Cooler Master GM2711S not only offers a 180Hz refresh rate, but also relies on Advanced Anti-Reflection Technology (ART), a combination of anti-reflective and anti-reflection treatments designed by AUO.

Cooler Master may be best known for gaming accessories, but they've also been selling gaming monitors for a while now, like last year's GM27-CFX and GM34-CWQ. Recently, the company announced the GM34-CWQ2, the successor to the GM34-CWQ, as well as the Mini LED-based monitor, the Tempest GP2711. In addition, he introduced the GM2711S, a 27-inch monitor that he plans to release in early 2024. Like all other manufacturers, Cooler Master didn't exactly choose lucky names for its monitors. 

According to reports from TFT Central, Cooler Master is importing the IPS board for the GM2711S from AU Optronics, from which they also borrowed the aforementioned anti-reflection technology. This technology reduces glare and reflections to the extent that it allows the monitor to operate at 20 percent lower brightness without affecting the resolution of the content. Together with the advanced #141 panels, the average consumption of the #141 is said to be as much as 60 percent lower compared to similar monitors. These are the manufacturer's claims, so they should be taken with a grain of salt 

As for the GM2711S itself, TFT Central reports that the monitor has a resolution of 1440p (2560 x 1440), a refresh rate of 180 Hz and a maximum brightness of 350 nits. In addition, Cooler Master rates the monitor for 2ms GtG response times, 91 percent Adobe RGB and 95 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage with a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. The GM2711S should be available in the first quarter of 2024. with HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB inputs. The price? 299 dollars in the USA and a good 300 euros in Europe.
