Google is expected to price the new Pixel 8 phones fairly

The company Google recently announced the arrival of the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 smartphones on its website. Google has announced its annual event on October 4, and usually presents new phones at that time. Quite a few improvements are expected, both in terms of design, cameras, sensors, processor and practically all other components.

If online rumors are to be believed, the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone will be equipped with a Google Tensor G3+ Titan processor. Of course, it will not be as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but we do not expect performance problems. A 6.17-inch or 15.7-centimeter diagonal screen with a resolution of 2,268 x 1,080 pixels will be available for displaying images. The rest of the hardware will include another 12 gigabytes of system memory and 128 gigabytes, 256 gigabytes or 512 gigabytes of storage space. The icing on the cake will be a camera with a resolution of 50 million pixels.

The new Google Pixel 8 Pro is said to even have a sensor for measuring body temperature, which could be used to measure the temperature of people and objects at a distance of up to five centimeters. The entire temperature measurement should take about five minutes. It will have the latest Android 14 installed on it.

In short, this year's upgrades look promising, which was immediately taken advantage of by Google, and there is talk of a concrete price increase for the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones.

The entry-level version of the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone (128 gigabytes of space) is said to be valued at as much as 1,235 euros, which is as much as 336 euros more. from the current Pixel 7 Pro model. A slightly more powerful model with 256 gigabytes of available space is said to be valued at as much as 1,309 euros, or 310 euros more from the Pixel 7 Pro model with the same memory capacity. For the most powerful version of the Google Pixel 8 Pro phone with 512 gigabytes of built-in memory, as much as 1,461 euros should be charged.

If the predictions turn out to be true, Google will lose the price advantage it had over Samsung and Apple phones as well as other manufacturers (Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo...). What is perhaps even more important, even for existing #141; users, is the news that Google phones will finally get (some have already got it) support for 5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi in Slovenia.

It is expected that before or immediately after the release, older models will experience a reduction in price. You can currently get the Pixel 7a for 499 euros, the Pixel 7 for 539 euros, and the Pixel 7 Pro for 750 euros. The release of the new phones is announced for October 4. If you are not in a hurry, you can wait until then. If the new Pixel 8 phones will really be that much more expensive, then the Pixel 7 phones are still a very good alternative.
